3DPast App is the result of 3DPAST project developed under the framework of the CREATIVE PROGRAMME, from the European Commission, by ESG/ Escola Superior Gallaecia (Portugal), as Project Leader; with the partnership of UNIFI/ Università degli Studi di Firenze (Italy), and UPV/ Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain).
The project received the support of ICOMOS International – International Council on Monuments and Sites, Chair UNESCO-Earthen Architecture, Building Cultures & Sustainable Development, ICOMOS-ISCEAH (International Scientific Committee of Earthen Architectural Heritage), ICOMOS-CIAV (Vernacular Architecture International Committee), and ICOMOS-CIPA (Heritage Documentation).
3DPAST aims to share vernacular architecture quality and its intangible local know-how, regarding preservation of authenticity and integrity in World Heritage sites; to explore the inhabited heritage experience through different dimensions; to interconnect architecture, history and intangible culture with creativity and technology, in a genuine trans-disciplinary way; to bring to light vernacular and traditional know-how to the new generations; to enhance and to preserve the architectural building cultures of World Heritage; to stimulate and improve the cultural sector regarding heritage knowledge across Europe.
